2020-2021 has been a busy and exciting one at Crown Sports Lockers!
In July 2020, a successful management buyout from founder Richard Downing was completed. He had successfully run Crown Sports Lockers since its launch in 1993 and built up a strong reputation for providing a quality product and service.
It has been an amazing year, under directors’ Spencer Grimwood and Sam Palmer (Crown’s former project managers with combined service of 36 years) as the new business owners. Not only have they continued to take the business from strength to strength by bringing in new clients, but they have also consistently continued to maintain excellent relationships with their existing ones.
Spencer said: “We have invested in the development and implementation of a fantastic new website which was successfully rolled out fully earlier this year – this has continued to gain momentum throughout the year and we have seen increasing numbers of traffic over the last few months which is great!” Take a look at The Crown Sports Lockers website today!
Sam added: “Lots of great things have come out of 2021 – many exciting projects have been undertaken and completed and we have continued to deliver our services, including our first-class bespoke lockers and spa treatment rooms across the country.” Take a look at the list below to find out about some of the great projects that Crown have delivered!
Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate expansion, St Ives (G7 summit venue): A huge extension was delivered, including nautically themed spa treatment rooms and changing provisions, including shaker doors, feature grooves and upholstered seating. Cameron House Hotel (Loch Lomand): Crown played its part in helping the hotel rise from the ashes of a devastating fire in 2017. The five-star Scottish resort which enjoys panoramic views of Loch Lomond re-opened in summer 2021 with 140 bedrooms, including 24 suites, event spaces and a function room. Not to mention an additional extension with a further 68 bedrooms with amazing views. Visit the ‘Gallery’ page of the website to see some of Crown’s previous work – you may even find inspiration for your project.
Motherwell FC’s new changing rooms facility, Lanarkshire: Motherwell FC began its 2021/2022 Scottish Premiership campaign complete with changing rooms fitted by Crown. The season kicked off earlier this year and the ‘Steel Men’ have already had time to make the most of their new facilities in the first half of the season.
“We are very proud of all we have achieved in the last year, continued Spencer.
“The number of employees has doubled to cope with growing demand. We’ve invested in a brand new CNC multi machining centre, which will enable us to increase productivity and diversity of product-offering and we are planning to update other factory machinery over the next 12 months.”
Spencer, Sam and the team would like to thank all of Crown’s customers, both new and existing, for choosing to work with Crown Sports Lockers. They look forward to continuing to serve the industry with a market-leading approach, and product, into 2022 and beyond.
