A hotel once described as “tired looking” has been totally refurbished to give it a new lease of life.
Against a backdrop of the magnificent Malvern Hills – an area protected by Malvern Hills Trust so it retains its natural beauty – the picturesque Bank House Hotel, Spa and Golf destination is the perfect retreat for visitors wishing to combine traditional English heritage with modern luxury.
The 17th century hotel sits on a 145-acre estate, boasting an upmarket 18-hole golf course that would be at home in Florida. It changed ownership four years ago, when the Wood and Turner families bought it. Their initial feeling was that the country house hotel was looking a little tired but that it had massive potential to be a beautiful haven for discerning visitors.
Soon after the purchase, they began their multi-million-pound refit, which took four years to complete. With the emphasis firmly on natural stone and earthy colours, the idyllically located sanctuary now includes a gastro/bistro restaurant with a capacity for 60 diners and a relaxing spa facility.
With various room options on offer, the 66-bed hotel includes a spacious 2,000 square feet luxury penthouse suite. Guests are promised the personal attention which will make them feel at home.
The Malvern View Spa provides the finishing touch to the hotel’s transformation, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating facility that adds a new attraction to the region.
Treatments on offer include the award-winning Temple Spa, the British brand with a Mediterranean feel; a thermal suite; an indoor pool; and even a fitness studio, where guests can work off their delicious lunch before enjoying a relaxing swim. The emphasis is firmly on a warm welcome, with friendly staff who will make everyone feel at home.
The hotel’s “His and Hers” golf and spa breaks are proving to be exceptionally popular!
Crown Sports Lockers’ professional skills enabled us to plan and design a bespoke solution to provide maximum space in the changing areas and treatment rooms of Malvern View Spa. We installed lockers with digital keypad locks for clothes and bags, shower cubicles, vanities, washroom basins and WCs.
Bank House is more than a top hotel – it also hosts bride-to-be parties, weddings, conferences and meetings and exclusive spa memberships are also available.
The emphasis is firmly on relaxation and enjoyment for all in the specious and well-planned hotel and facilities.
Claire’s top tip when planning new spa provision: “Think carefully about layout so that you allow guests plenty of space in which to relax and really enjoy their stay with you.”
