Changing room and storage specialists Crown Sports Lockers mark their ninth year at the Independent Hotel Show with news of major orders to fit out spa developments.
Freedom day unlocked pent-up demand across the hotel sector for spa new-builds, refurbishments and extensions, the Made in Britain manufacturer told IHS.
“Throughout Covid restrictions, hotels hunkered down,” notes Crown director Spencer Grimwood, “then unleashed a flood of orders following Freedom Day.”
FSC-certified Crown has expanded its factory workforce to handle a bulging order book that includes extended leisure provision at G7 Summit hosts Carbis Bay and a huge new-build spa at Breedon Priory.
“In my 17 years at Crown, I’ve never known a busier August,” Spencer adds, “in stark contrast to the uncertainties lockdown created.”
Visiting the Crown stand this year no doubt will be Aidan Stevens, director of Cotswolds destination Stratton House Hotel, who called in the specialists after a four-year gap since first meeting them on their 2017 IHS stand to discuss plans for a new spa at the idyllic location.
After a false-start, the project finally saw the light of day earlier this year, and Aidan is already reporting brisk business.
A selection of locker styles and materials will appear on the stand this year, including samples of Crown’s hygienic range, featuring Addmaster’s Biomaster antiviral and antibacterial technology, which prevents pathogens from proliferating on surfaces.
You can find Crown at stand 1574 during the IHS 2021 show, which is taking place at the London Olympia on 4th and 5th October 2021.
