Welcome to our January 2023 Round-up. We’ve had a busy start to the year, completing various installations up and down the country in various sectors, including golf clubs and gyms, to name a few. The Crown Sports Lockers team have been hard at work and we have several projects in the pipeline. Watch this space for further updates.
Burhill Golf Club, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey
We have recently completed an installation of wooden lockers at Burhill Golf Club. The Club have re-purposed some old outbuildings, and we were asked to manufacture and install lockers in the new trolley bag storage room. These were manufactured with a composite laminate base and locker doors.
The Essex Golf and Country Club
The installation of lockers and vanity units went seamlessly at the Essex Golf and Country Club, Colchester. Part of the Club Company, we installed 2 tier clothes lockers with internal hanging rail and coat hook. The lockers were manufactured from Egger MFC board, with plain colour body and woodgrain doors and panel work. The doors were fitted with Digilock Cue5 RFID locks. In addition, we upholstered freestanding benches, hair dryer vanities, changing cubicles and full-length mirrors. Vanity units were also installed, with a solid surface top and counter top basins, including aluminium framed mirrors that set it off. A great project to work on.
New Works Van
We’re excited to announce that we will soon be taking delivery of a new works van. Due to supply issues, mainly following covid, we’ve been waiting quite a while. It was actually ordered in November 2021.
Our State-of-the-Art Edgebander Machine
Our new Edgebander machine is scheduled for delivery in March this year. Edgebanders are the industrial grade machines that apply the edging tape to the raw edges of the wood panels with a hot-melt adhesive or glue. We’re forever striving to invest in the future of the business and this state-of-the-art machine will enable us to further increase production capacity for the future.
Sopers House
Sopers House is a 3 floor, multi-occupancy space, where co-workers can rent a desk. Based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, their high-end premises have a range of facilities on site, including a fine dining restaurant and a gym. We have been approached by the company to fit out the changing rooms for the pool area, which is in the process of being built.
The Grove Hotel, Watford
In a couple of weeks’ time, we will be starting an installation at the The Grove, Watford. This prestigious hotel boasts a magnificent golf course, several restaurants and bars, and top-of-the-range facilities. We will be fitting out the extension to the mens’ changing rooms and installing a wellness vanity station.
Woodham Golf Club, Durham
Woodham Golf and Country Club opened in 1981 and boasts 229 acres of parkland, which includes a stunning golf course. We recently manufactured and installed lockers and fitted out their changing rooms.
Gymnasium Brixton, London
Gymnasium Brixton is a top range gym, based in Brixton, London. They specialise in CrossFit training classes, focusing on strength & power, speed & endurance and mobility & balance. We have recently manufactured and installed their changing room lockers.
