Welcome to the September round-up. The Crown Sports Lockers team have been hard at work this month, the factory has been running at full capacity and we’ve been finishing off some prestigious school projects across the country. We’ve completed numerous other installations and we’ve got a lot in the pipeline. Watch this space for further updates.
Our New State-of-the-Art CNC Edgebander
We have recently placed an order for a new CNC Edgebander machine at our factory. Edgebanders are the industrial grade machines that apply the edging tape to the raw edges of the wood panels with a hot-melt adhesive or glue. We’re forever striving to invest in the future of the business and this state-of-the-art machine will enable us to further increase production capacity for the future .
Lockers for Schools
We’ve been finishing the tail end of some jobs in various schools around the country. All are now fitted and complete and we’ve also manufactured, supplied, and fitted lockers for the 6th formers at Westonbirt School. Founded in 1928, this co-educational independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18 is located near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, South West England.
EV Charger Installation – The Move to Electric Vehicle
By 2030, the Government in the UK have made a declaration that the sales of new petrol and diesel vehicles will be banned, as part of their ‘10-part plan’ to protect the planet and limit the damage caused by emissions. We’re pleased to announce that in line with our environmental credentials, we have installed the first of several EV chargers at our premises, ready for use by our staff and clients, as and when required. These will take a direct feed from our array of solar panels on the factory roof.
Lockers for Golf Clubs
Over the last few months, we have had the pleasure of designing, manufacturing, and installing our bespoke golf lockers in numerous golf clubs around the country. We completed the fit-out of the spa and gym locker rooms at Laceby Manor Golf Club, a 5-star luxury hotel in Lincolnshire. We also installed and revamped the men’s locker room at Fulwell Golf Club in Twickenham. Every golf club project that we undertake is bespoke.
