Nestling in the breathtaking Dorset countryside, Broadstone Golf Club is one of Britain's finest heathland golf courses.
Consistently ranked as one of the UK's top 100 golf courses by Golf Monthly and Golf World magazines, this is thanks to its 250 acres of unspoiled terrain and expansive fairways, which run freely through the glorious natural landscape.
Golfers playing the course are immersed in hundreds of bold, colourful plants such as heather, rhododendrons, pine and gorse, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from several holes, further enhancing the whole experience.
Founded in 1898 by Tom Dunn (who had been commissioned by Ivor Bertie Guest, the Baron of Wimborne), the championship course was redesigned in 1914 by architect Harry Shapland Colt, to produce the challenging layout that is much loved today.
In 1931, Lord Wimborne sold the golf club to one of its members, Frank Toley, who spent a great deal of his own money keeping it going, particularly at the outbreak of World War II, when membership slumped. After Toley's untimely death in 1940, his widow became club president and benefactor. She kept the club going until it was sold in 1971 to the members.
She sold it for only £18,000 - around £253,000 in today's terms - and the price was considered one of the biggest bargains in golfing history and a tribute to the Toley family's generosity. Further major refurbishments took place in 1985 and today, the par 70 course hosts numerous national amateur events.
Broadstone Golf Club's changing rooms have been renovated, thanks to Crown Sports Lockers. We manufactured and installed traditional golf bag lockers with oak-framed doors. We also provided additional ancillary furniture including mirrors, locker seats, notice boards, washroom units with Corian taps and grooming stations.
