Parkstone Golf Club

Parkstone Golf Club in the haven of Poole is renowned as being one of the south coast's finest golf courses. Golf World and Golf Monthly magazines both rank Parkstone among Great Britain and Ireland's top 100 courses.

Set in beautiful, mature heathland, the course features pines and lakes. As a haven for wildlife, golfers can enjoy stunning views across Poole Harbour to the Isle of Purbeck and Brownsea Island. Providing the best in golfing facilities and hospitality, the club is only a few minutes' drive from the beaches of Bournemouth and Poole.

The course was founded in 1909 by Lord Wimborne (patriarch of the famous Guest family) who built Merthyr Tydfil iron works in the 18th century, providing employment and amassing vast wealth as a result.

Lord Wimborne bought the former Parkstone Reservoir after Poole Water Company's closure in 1906. The construction of the golf course began on the land soon afterwards. In 1938, the club professional, Reg Whitcombe, won the Open Championship there and famously said of Parkstone, "There is no better place."

Crown Sports Lockers was commissioned to refurbish the locker room at Parkstone Golf Club in keeping with its traditional ambience. We installed wooden lockers featuring traditional solid oak framed doors, raised and fielded centre panels and Assa Abloy six-pin tumbler cam locks. We also provided ancillary furniture including clear span locker seats, clothes rails and vanity units.
