Located in the heart of the Devon countryside, Stover School is an independent boarding and day school for pupils aged three to 18 years. It started out as the Chestnut School in the late 1920s in Newton Abbot but relocated to its current site at Stover Park in 1932.
Mrs Joan Key had been running the Chestnut School and subsequently founded Stover School on its present 64-acre site, after visiting the then run-down mansion at Stover Park and having a vision of what it could become. She decided to expand, as Chestnut School catered only for pupils up to the age of 12 and she wished to carry on their education until they were 18.
Stover School today is a leading co-educational school which has high academic standards and sporting facilities including cricket, golf, tennis, playing fields and a new sports pavilion with changing rooms.
Crown Sports Lockers has refurbished the cricket pavilion’s changing room by providing new furniture, including seats and coat hooks. We have also provided sliding sign boards for the home and away team changing rooms.
