July has been a very busy month for the Crown team! With lots of exciting projects underway, we’ve been working across the country to deliver first-class bespoke lockers and spa treatment rooms. Read our July round up to learn more about what we’ve been working on!
Carbis Bay expansion underway
G7 summit venue Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate has sourced Crown once again under a huge extension to the St Ives beachfront destination.
“We’re delighted to be working with Carbis Bay once again,” says Crown director Spencer Grimwood. “…On what will be nautically themed spa treatment rooms and changing provision, including shaker doors, feature grooves and upholstered seating.”
‘Phoenix’ resort plans summer reopening
Crown is playing its part in helping Cameron House hotel rise from the ashes of a devastating fire in December 2017, which destroyed the main house, a listed building.
Now entering the final stages of complete restoration as it prepares for a summer 2021 reopening, the five-star Scottish resort enjoys panoramic views of Loch Lomond.
The hotel will reopen with 140 bedrooms, including 24 suites, event spaces and function room, plus a new extension that includes a further 68 bedrooms, most sporting large balconies with views over the loch.
Boutique Breedon Priory expansion moves ahead
Under plans by Breedon Priory Health Club to launch extensive spa provision at its Leicestershire estate, Crown is working closely with the leisure destination to realise its vision for a high-end retreat to satisfy unstinting demand for relaxation.
The spa will complement Breedon Priory’s current health and fitness provision, which includes training programmes, class cycling, 14m indoor pool and studio.
Flixton’s golfers flood back to new changing rooms
A leaking bathroom tap leading to an inundated men’s locker room has proved a blessing in disguise for Flixton Golf Club.
The Greater Manchester private members club is enjoying a golfing boom at the 9-hole course, since it reopened after lockdown, complete with transformed changing facilities, courtesy of Crown, who installed two-tier golf bag lockers, vanity station, hanging spaces and recessed benching, all in uplifting light oak.
“Members just can’t believe the difference they’ve come back to,” enthuses club secretary Paul Thornley, who appointed Crown for the design and fit-out.
Motherwell mosey up to Crown
Scottish Premiership club Motherwell FC is the latest footballing venue to enlist Crown’s expertise for a changing room rethink.
The North Lanarkshire club has remained a permanent fixture in the sport’s top-flight since 1985.
‘The Steelmen’ will not be investing in metal for its player changing, however, preferring Crown’s wisdom in wood to create facilities befitting Scotland’s footballing elite.
