The green shoots of optimism are emerging among Crown’s core sectors, the company reports.
Closures and furloughing across much of hospitality, spa, leisure and hotels still blights what is a multi-billion pound mainstay of the UK economy but operators are increasingly active, readying themselves for the time when lockdown eases.
“Existing clients are bringing us in to scope site refurbishments and extensions,” says Crown co-director Sam Palmer. “Hotels, golf and health are showing real signs of recovery,” he adds, “while the office sector is moving ahead strongly as companies large and small rethink and repurpose space allocation.”
