Solar Panels: Crown’s Solution Reduces Carbon Footprint

A quality that sets Crown Sports Lockers apart from the competitors, our dedication to investing in the future is a very real priority. We make every effort to sustain a healthy environment – and one way to do this is through seeking accreditation for the ISO14001:2004.

ISO 14001:2004, Environmental Management Systems

The ISO 14001:2004 is an ISO Standard which requires organisations and companies to minimise the negative effects of their business production processes to the environment. Through best working practices and an environmental management system, we endeavour to demonstrate our unfaltering commitment to the cause – such as reducing our carbon footprint.

Carbon Footprint and Reduction

Defined as the total amount of carbon dioxide emissions and other compounds, the carbon footprint has environmental effects that can be detrimental to the health; and thus, it must be reduced.

The generation of electricity is one of the most common causes and a good way to reduce our carbon footprint is by switching to non-carbon dioxide emitting alternatives for electricity generation.

Solar Panel Fitting at Crown Factory

To reduce our carbon footprint, Crown Sports Lockers has invested in solar panels. These panels are fitted to the factory roof and they will generate as much as 30kw of our energy requirements.

Any unused energy that is generated by the panels will be fed back into the national grid. This will make a significant contribution to the reduction of our carbon footprint.

As we provide more high-quality installations and offer greater value for money, we continue to strive to exceed every client’s needs and expectations! For more information about our wooden lockers and other products and services, please call Crown Sports Lockers on 01803 555885.
